1.“Impact of Science on Myth” (1961)
Story of a Mother, a young elementary student, his younger brother, a lady at the lunch counter, and me.
Little Child: (turning to me after ordering lunch with his family): “Jimmy wrote a paper today on the evolution of man, and Teacher said he was wrong, that Adam and Eve were our first parents.
Me: My Lord, I thought. What a teacher!
Lady: (three seats away) : “Well, Teacher was right. Our first parents were Adam and Eve.:
Me: (Thinking). What a mother for a 20th Century child!
Young student: “Yes, I know, but this was a Scientific paper.”
Me: (thinking) I will recommend this student to the Smithsonian.
Mother; “Oh, those scientists! (angrily) “Those are only theories.”
Young student: “Yes, I know, but they have been factualized; they found the bones.”
Then, they ate lunch.
